I am uploading the lessons separately. You will find them listed down in the replies. Sadly they showed up out of order though they were uploaded in order. Oh well. Feel free to make suggestions.
Here is my complete updated unit. All of the lesson plans are included within it. Thank you for the many suggestions and questions you gave to help guide me. I hope that I have addressed them in my lessons. This unit would be taught after an introduction unit on the Industrial Revolution so they will already have much of the historical context. I will upload a new matrix soon. My curriculum is set up to teach in Units that are thematically based, thus Immigration is separate from Human Rights even though it fits in that category as well.
The Unit Plan - the first attachment up at the top - has the order of lessons. Some lessons are pdf and some are word, but they are all different. I just didn't convert everything to pdf.
Hi Rachel:
I assume that the lessons are sequential 1-6, but where do the child labor photo lessons and industrial Rev photo lessons fit in with the other 6? I'll try to look through these carefully within the next few days. This is a REALLY exciting topic and one that easily lends itself to having students respond today --they could explore child labor issues locally or, it the community has few child labor issues, simply examine the techniques used to address this issues to consider how those techniques might be appropriate or modified to address another social justice issue today. TY for all of your hard work and thinking!!!! IN the attachments are these different documents or is the format --PDF vs Word --the only difference??
